San Diego, CA - Chassis Plans announces its 11309-101 small foot print PC is Federally and multi-state certified for use in Direct Recording Electronic (DRE) voting systems. The 11309-101 was specifically developed for use in Electronic Voting Systems. Of particular note is the first use was for a voter verified paper audit trail, or WPAT, allowing voter verification of the intended vote. Technology leaders and potential customers in the Electronic Voting Systems market include Accupoll, Diebold, EES, Hart, Sequoia, and VoteHere.

The 11309-101 is very small at 6"x4.75"x2.5". The system weighs only 1-1/2 pounds. Included is a 800MHz or 1GHz Via C3 low power processor, 2.5" hard drive up to 80GB, Flash Drive up to 1GB, up to 512Mb SO-DIMM Ram. A Type-II PCMCIA expansion slot is available for I/O such as WiFi. Externally available I/O connections include a serial port, 10/100 Ethernet port, 2xUSB 1.1 ports, Video out to 1920x1440 resolution, parallel port, microphone in, speaker out, and keyboard/mouse port.

The 11309-101 Controller is compatible with virtually all Windows operating systems including XP Embedded and Windows CE. The Controller will also operate with Linux and other embedded systems.

While the 11309-101 was developed specifically for the Electronic Voting market, its robust design, high performance, multitude of features and small foot print make it ideal for installation in a wide variety of applications including Kiosks, military and machine control.
