San Diego, CA - Chassis Plans announces the XPT single board computer (SBC) which uses dual Intel^® XeonM processors and the Intel E7501 chipset to produce an innovative SBC, designed and manufactured in the USA for challenging applied computing applications. Chassis Plans' XPT combines the Intel Xeon processor with 8GB of DDR memory, a 400/533MHz system bus and dual 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports. The XPT packs advanced computing power and design innovation into an SBC form factor, along with the long-life embedded support you expect from Chassis Plans.

On-Board Features
Higher speed processor support is built into the XPT's design, with speeds starting at 2.0GHz/400MHz FSB and 2.4GHz/533MHz FSB. The Intel Xeon processor has an L2 cache memory of 512K with 8-way set associative cache running at full processor core speed. The XPT's 400/533MHz system bus enables the higher data throughput required in many data-intensive applications and the on-board PCI-X bus maximizes Ethernet and Ultra320 SCSI data transfer operations. The PCI-X bus has a maximum bus speed of 133MHz available for use with external PCI-X devices.

A Double Data Rate (DDR200/266) memory interface vastly improves the speed of the memory data traffic. The XPT supports memory capacities up to 8GB and uses ECC registered PC1600 or PC2100 memory modules.

The dual LAN ports on the XPT support 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet communications. The XPT's PCI-X Local Bus enhances the data transfer operations and provides full speed Gigabit (1Gb/s) connectivity. RJ-45 connectors located on the I/O bracket provide the mechanical interface to the Ethernet networks.

Optional onboard dual Ultra320 SCSI interfaces are available and provide data transfer operations up to 320MB/s.

An innovative video controller from ATI Technologies Inc. provides 16MB of onboard video memory. The XPT supports a wide variety of video resolutions from VGA (640 x 480) up to UXGA (1600 x 1200) with a color depth setting of up to 32-bit True Color, 4-billion colors.

The XPT's ISA/PCI/PCI-X bus interface supports devices operating in system architectures ranging from 16-bit/8MHz to 64-bit/133MHz. Other features built into the XPT include hardware monitoring, two serial ports, dual USB ports, an enhanced bi-directional parallel port interface, a watchdog timer and PS/2 mouse, keyboard and floppy drive interfaces.
