Chassis Plans ATXW-5520 Long Life Industrial Motherboard Features Dual Westmere Six-Core Processors and Intel® Trusted Execution Technology Targeted at Department of Defense, Homeland Security and other secure environments, Chassis Plans' ATXW-5520 systems provide the security capabilities offered by Intel Trusted Execution Technology (TXT). Two Westmere-EP processors provide up to twelve cores and up to 144GB of DDR3 1333 memory with direct memory control and Intel QuickPath Interconnect technology for exceptional memory and I/O bandwidth.
A wide variety of turnkey industrial and rugged military grade rackmount systems are offered by Chassis Plans with the ATXW-5520 as the installed motherboard. Systems offering high capacity RAID, rugged mil spec compliance, or custom tailored to the application requirements are available. Long life availability of 5 to 7 years makes systems with the ATXW-5520 ideal for lower total cost of ownership for multi-year military programs. The board supports two Xeon 5600 series processors at 2.4GHz (higher supported when available) and offers twelve memory slots for up to 144GB of DDR3-1333 memory. The Westmere-EP processors also provide an Integrated Memory Controller (IMC) built in for direct system memory connections leading to a six-fold increase in effective memory bandwidth. Also supported is the Intel QuickPath Interconnect (QPI) for up to 6.4Giga Transfers per second to the ICH10R chipset. These two features alone lead to exceptional system performance in compute intensive environments. Of interest to the Intelligence Community is the integrated Intel Trusted Execution Technology (TXT) to allow use in sensitive applications and secure networks. Formerly code named LaGrande Technology, TXT is a versatile set of hardware extensions to the Westmere processors and 5520 chipsets that enhance the platform with security capabilities such as measured launch and protected execution enabling an environment where applications can run within their own space, protected from all other software on the system. The ATXW-5520 incorporates PCI Express 2.0 technology and the Intel 5520 chipset implementation supports direct connections to the motherboard’s PCI Express 2.0 option cards for optimum system data bandwidth.
