Chassis Plans Introduces the
CPE2CKS-10, an Upgraded 1U keyboard Chassis Plans' New CPE2CKS-10 1U Rackmount Keyboard Drawer is the Industry's Most Versitile Offering Both Track Ball or Touch Pad and PS/2 or USB Interface San Diego, CA - March 13, 2006 - Chassis Plans announces the CPE2CKS-10 1U rackmount keyboard drawer. Built upon and enhancing the popular CPE2CKS-9, the CPE2CKS-10 offers users the choice of a track ball or touch pad for mouse control. In addition, both PS/2 and USB interfaces are offered for output connections. The CPE2CKS-10 is highly versitile offering an installed mounting depth of as little as 17.6" to a maximum of 30". The short mounting depth is perfect for transit case installations. Mounting for deeper rack cabinets is optionally available. Center post mounting is also available. The full travel high quality keyboard provides 83 keys, a 5,000,000 keyswitch lifecycle, and operating temperature of -10 to +50 deg C. The Synaptics touch pad pointing device provides 3 mouse keys. The track ball model provides 2 mouse keys. Both input devices are mounted on the upper right side of the keyboard for easy operation. A padded palm rest at the front of the drawer offers comfortable typing. The slides provide lock out buttons and the drawer is held closed in the rack with two captive thumb screws for secure storage in high shock/vibration environments. The CPE2CKS-10 can be used stand alone or connected with a KVM to control up to 512 computers from this one keyboard. It is compatible with both Intel/Microsoft and Sun systems.
