Description
The CCI-17 and -19 are rugged industrial grade high performance 1U rackmount clamshell LCD keyboard drawers offering 17-inch and 19-inch displays. The CCI family is designed to meet industrial requirements for a reliable, solidly build display and includes a solid milled aluminum front panel, lightweight 5052-H32 aluminum construction and locking stainless hardware throughout. Electrical components are selected for their inherent ruggedness and mounted to enhance that. The CCI family heritage comes from Chassis Plans CCX Military Grade family with the military-centric features such as bonded AR and ITO glass on the LCD and military grade LCD controllers removed. This allows a close-to military grade LCD keyboard display at a significant cost savings.
The drawer is held closed by two captive thumb screws. Lock out friction slides are included. Friction slides assure the drawer stays where put for ease of typing. Friction slides are much less prone to damage or jamming from dust and dirt. The CCI is ideal for mounting in adverse environments that would destroy lesser displays. A folding front handle minimizes protrusions into the workspace to protect the operators. A rear mounted cable management arm is provided. Installed depth is only 22-inches without the cable management arm and 24.4-inches with the arm.
The 17-inch and 19-inch displays are high quality long life AUO TFT LCDs with a maximum native resolution of 1280x1024.
Both displays are provided with an anti-glare hard coat for ease of viewing and display protection.
A choice of two sealed keyboards is offered providing either a Touchpad or Hula Point pointing device. Both keyboards are NEMA-4 rated sealed silicone rubber construction with tactile feedback and full travel for comfortable typing. Carbon on gold contacts assure reliable operation. The keyboards are rated for 10 million lifecycles per switch.
The Touchpad keyboard offers 97 keys with two mouse buttons while the Hula Pointer version offers 113 keys with three mouse buttons. Both PS/2 and USB outputs are standard with the Hula Point version while the Touchpad version is available only with USB output. The Touch Pad version is backlit. The keyboards are completely sealed to meet IP-65 to prevent liquid ingress so coffee and Coke spills don't faze them. The keyboards can be wiped down with a wet rag to clean any spills.

LCD Controller Options
Three industrial grade LCD controllers are available providing a wide variety of input options. All are based on Genesis chipsets for state of the art display features and stability.
- ALR-1400 - DVI-D and aRGB VGA inputs. Up scaling to fit image resolution to panel native resolution.
- SP-1600 - DVI-I, aRGB VGA, Video (NTSC/PAL,SECAM, Composite Video, S-Video, Component Video YCbCr). Up/Down scaling to fit image resolution to panel native resolution.
- SVH-1920 - DVI-D, aRGB VGA, Video (NTSC/PAL,SECAM, Composite Video, S-Video, Component Video YCbCr). Up scaling to fit image resolution to panel native resolution. Horizontal and vertical image inversion. Picture-in-picture.
Power Options
The basic display operates from 12VDC. An EMI filter is included inside the keyboard assembly.
The standard option is a 110/220VAC 50/60Hz supply. Options are available for a 12VDC transient filter to allow reliable operation from vehicular 12VDC systems, MIL-STD 704/1275 28VDC supply, and a 48VDC supply.
Included with each supply is a rack mount bracket allowing secure mounting of the supplies in any standard rack.
KVM Options
A family of 4– or 8-port KVM switches are available with front panel button selection and active port LED indication. Models are available with DVI or analog VGA inputs with USB and PS/2 keyboard/mouse connections. The KVMs are rack mounted separately from the keyboard assemblies to allow more options for mounting and to minimize installed depth.
As with all Chassis Plans products, a wide variety of custom options are available including paint color, customer logo, high-bright daylight modification, and keyboard options.
