Chassis Plans offers the Rugged Enterprise Systems class as fully defined and configured off-the-shelf rackmount solutions. The components comprising these systems are best of breed and have been carefully selected and qualified for high performance, reliable operation, and long product availability.

The 1B-40AE11 Rugged Enterprise System Solution is an industrial 4U rackmount computer featuring PCI Express. Powered by the family of Intel® Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad or Dual and Quad Core XEON processors to 3.0GHz, Intel® G33 Express chipset and 1GB to 8GB of 800MHz RAM, the included Supermicro C2SBA industrial motherboard was designed specifically for very high performance applications such as Simulation Systems, Medical Devices, and Imaging.

The PCI Express x16 dedicated graphics slot supports the latest high-performance graphics cards, delivering over 3.5 times traditional AGP 8X. This feature is ideal for graphic intensive embedded computing applications and other high-bandwidth requirements. The PCI Express x4 is capable of transferring 2 GB/s, up to 3.5 times faster than standard PCI architecture. The x1 PCI-Express slot allows use of a growing number of PCI-Express based I/O cards. Included also are four 32-bit PCI slots.

Multiple hard drive options are available from a single fixed 250GB drive to two removable drives in a RAID 0 configuration. Included is a high performance double layer DVD/RW drive (8.5GB) and a floppy drive. Other drive configurations are available at customer request.

Standard rear panel features one gigabit Ethernet ports, six USB 2.0 ports, one RS232 serial port, one parallel port, one PS/2 mouse/keyboard connector and audio I/O connectors. Additional I/O ports are available on internal headers. The system includes on-board the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 with a maximum resolution of 2048x1536 @ 75HZ.
