DESCRIPTION
The IOB31 is an optional I/O and PCI Express expansion board that connects to the controlled impedance connector (P20) on the NLT or NLI system host board (SHB) to complement the advanced USB and SATA I/O capability of the SHBs.

In addition, the IOB31 provides a x4 PCI Express edge connector that connects to a PCI Express expansion slot on backplanes like Chassis Plans' BPX3/14.

This PCI Express interface is designed to support additional high-speed backplane card slots while taking advantage of the increased bandwidth capabilities between the SHB and the option cards made possible by PCI Express technology.

The layout drawings below show the placement of the board's I/O and PCI Express expansion connectors. The IOB31 comes with mounting hardware and standoffs for securely attaching the IOB31 to either a NLT or NLI SHB.
